Reza Jacobs

Recipient of The ASCAP Foundation 2004 Frederick Loewe Scholarship at NYU Tisch School of the Arts

The late ASCAP member Frederick Loewe is best known for composing the music for the outstanding musicals My Fair Lady, Camelot, Brigadoon and Gigi. Established by an endowment from the Frederick Loewe Foundation, this scholarship is presented annually to a student of musical theatre composition at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in New York City.

Reza Jacobs
Reza Jacobs was born in Pakistan and raised in Kuwait and Canada. He received a Bachelor degree in History from Columbia University. While at Columbia, he wrote the Varsity Show. With Tommy West (of Jim Croce fame), Reza co-produced Abandoned Studio, an album of a cappella work. He has performed piano recitals in Kuwait, India, Canada, and the United States. Reza is in his second year at the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU.
