From sweeping dramas to anthropomorphic pets, interior design to Sesame Street characters: the television shows soundtracked by the 2010 Daytime Emmy Award nominees were as varied as can be, and once again, the large majority of them were ASCAP members. Announced on May 12, 2010 by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the 19 nominated songs and scores included 14 written or co-written by ASCAP members and international affiliates. Many of this year's nominees have been nominated for several years running, including composers Jack Allocco and David Kurtz, who won the Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition for a Drama Series in last year's Daytime Emmys.

The 2010 Daytime Emmy Awards will be broadcast from the Las Vegas Hilton on Sunday, June 27th, 2010 on CBS.
