DALE WARLAND Dale Warland is presented the ASCAP Victor Herbert Award for distinguished service to American music. Warland, himself a fine composer, is Founder and Conductor of the acclaimed Dale Warland Singers, celebrating their 30th Season this year. ASCAP honors the leadership and commitment, which has created a great choral legacy by performing, commissioning and recording the music of his contemporaries.
COLLEGE BAND DIRECTORS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION Founded in 1941 by visionaries such as Frederick Fennell, the CBDNA has made the Wind Band a performance medium of excellence. ASCAP honors the CBDNA and its membership for training young musicians and conductors, and for building a Repertory by commissioning, performing and recording works by American composers written expressly for the American Concert Band.
