Tzu-Ling is graduating with a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School this May. She was the youngest person ever to win the Taiwan National Composers Competition when she was 9 years old. Her String Quartet No. 1 was awarded 2nd Prize in the International Alliance of Women in Music’s Composition Contest in 1999. Her works have been performed throughout the U.S and Taiwan. Tzu-Ling is currently working on commissions for pianist, Jenny Lin, to be premiered at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and The American-Taiwanese Heritage Festival in San Diego, directed by violinist Cho-Liang Lin. She will be attending the University of Chicago on full scholarship for graduate studies in September.
