ASCAP/PRS Members Honored at the Brits


Scissor Sisters Win Three Awards

ASCAP/PRS members dominated the 2005 Brit Awards ceremony at London's Earls Court on February 9 winning 11 out of the 16 categories.

The Scissor Sisters were the big winners of the night taking home three awards for International Breakthrough Act, International Group and International Album for their self-titled release.

Franz Ferdinand and Keane picked up two awards apiece - Franz Ferdinand for Best British Group and Best British Rock Act, and Keane for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Album for Hopes and Fears.

Robbie Williams received the BRITs25 Song Award for "Angels" recognizing the best song of the past 25 years.

The Boomtown Rats front man and Band Aid founder Bob Geldof received a lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to music.
