ASCAP/PRS Members Sweep
The 2004 Brit Awards

ASCAP/PRS members dominated the 2004 Brit Awards ceremony at London's Earls Court on February 17 winning 13 of the 16 categories.

The Darkness were the big winners of the night taking home three awards for British Rock Act, British Group and Best British Album for Permission to Land. Busted and Dido collected two prizes each; Busted for Best Pop Act and British Breakthrough Artist, and Dido for British Female Solo Artist and British Single for "White Flag."

In the international categories, Justin Timberlake picked up two awards for International Male Solo Artist and International album for Justified, while Beyoncé won for International Female Solo Artist, and 50 Cent collected the award for International Breakthrough Artist.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation by Justin Timberlake to Duran Duran, who was honored for their Outstanding Contribution to Music.
