ASCAP Member Kenny Chesney Wins His Third Entertainer of the Year Award
The 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV on May 15, 2007. Kenny Chesney won Entertainer of the Year for the third consecutive year, he is one of only four artists to win this honor three or more consecutive times, joining Alabama, Garth Brooks and Hank Williams Jr. Longtime ASCAP member George Strait took home three awards for Song of the Year, Single of the Year and producer credit on Single of the Year. ASCAP-Nashville former intern, Brad Paisley wins his first Male Vocalist of the Year Award. Buddy Cannon took home Song of the Year honors.
