Producer, Menace, gives "On the Come Up" a glimpse into why he's a new force in the music industry.

At the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on May 22nd, ASCAP members proved once again that they create the most beloved music in America. Our songwriters won 27 categories across the genre spectrum - and brought some of the evening's most memorable performances, too.

The Collective workshop focuses on the discovery, development and education of a select, advanced group of songwriters and producers. The workshop features prominent music industry professionals as mentors, leading a creative discussion about the art of songwriting.

Malik Taylor, the rapper who contributed to the influential 90's Hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest as Phife Dog, died yesterday at the age of 45. Born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, Taylor met his childhood best friend, longtime musical collaborator and bandmate, Q-Tip, at age 2.

Daryl Coley, one of gospel music's most beloved male vocalists, passed away on March 15th at the age of 60. The unique beauty of his voice and his ability to synthesize many genres and styles in his work earned him exceptional admiration.

ASCAP’s Rhythm & Soul team and Global Grind presented a spectacular lineup of artists at its SXSW showcase in Austin, Texas on Tuesday night, March 15th.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame will welcome ASCAP songwriting titans Elvis Costello, Marvin Gaye, Tom Petty and Bernard Edwards to its ranks in June. Each inductee has left an indelible mark on the world, and continues to inspire countless songwriters.

ASCAP honored Motown Gospel artists Tasha Cobbs (6X Stellar Award nominee) and Brian Courtney Wilson each with the first-ever ASCAP “Power In Praise” Award.

ASCAP Grammy nominees, execs and friends gathered at the SLS Hotel to kick off Grammy weekend with cocktails and great music. R&B star Jazmine Sullivan, a triple nominee, performed soulful versions of her nominated songs; nominees in attendance included Lee Ann Womack, James Fauntleroy, Dave Bassett and Jake Gosling.
