Katy Perry Honored as Billboard Woman of the Year

Pop singer-songwriter and superstar Katy Perry was honored as Billboard's Woman of the Year at a special event held at Capitale in New York City on November 30th. In addition, ASCAP's Lauren Iossa was also recognized as one of the leading influential women in the music industry as part of Billboard's annual Women in Music issue. All of the women featured in this year's issue were honored at the event.

As part of the celebration, Perry, who became the first woman in history to achieve five #1 Hot 100 singles from the same album (2010's Teenage Dream), was interviewed by The Daily Show's Jon Stewart. The two discussed Perry's phenomenal career and the joys and challenges of being one of the world's biggest stars, which was also captured in this year's successful 3D biopic/concert film, Katy Perry: Part of Me.
