On Wednesday, October 31st, "The Legend" 650 AM WSM Nashville premiered "The ASCAP Songwriters Show," an exclusive weekly songwriters show in partnership with ASCAP. The program airs on Wednesdays from 2:00 - 3:00 PM and will spotlight a different ASCAP songwriter each week. The songwriters will tell the stories behind their hits, play live in the studio, and feature new songs currently being pitched to some of the biggest artists in country music.
ASCAP Country Music Songwriter of the Year Ben Hayslip, who penned "Honey Bee," recorded by Blake Shelton, "I Don't Want This Night To End" by Luke Bryan, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" by Martina McBride and more, was joined by his publisher Rusty Gaston of THiS Music/Warner Chappell for the premiere on October 31st. Dave Turnbull was featured on the second installment of the show, which aired on November 7th. Additional ASCAP songwriters confirmed for upcoming shows include Ben Glover, Jeff Allen, Hannah Dasher, Josh Osborne, Trevor Rosen and Lynn Hutton.
