The August installment of ASCAP's popular monthly event at The Bluebird Cafe featured veteran Nashville songwriter-artist Rob Crosby, rising songstress Kalisa Ewing, and up-and-coming songwriter-artist Aaron Goodvin, and MuzikMafia member and Nashville mainstay Shannon Lawson. The songwriters performed "in the row" instead of the usual writers-in-the-round format. This month's edition of ASCAP's long-running showcase series continued the year-long celebration of The Bluebird Cafe's 30th birthday. The venue's extended festivities kicked off in June with special daily performances from some of Nashville's biggest artists and hit songwriters, and will include numerous homecoming shows, exclusive concerts, guest appearances and special events throughout the year.
