Malaysian singer/songwriter Yuna recently dropped by the ASCAP offices in L.A. to share her story and a few of her lovely acoustic pop tunes. A strong MySpace following propelled Yuna to fame in her home country. A U.S. management deal with Indie-Pop came in 2011, with her U.S. debut EP Decorate released on the FADER Label soon after.
Yuna is just putting the finishing touches on her eponymous new album, set for a spring 2012 release. While you're waiting anxiously for it to drop, luxuriate in this video for the album's first single "Live Your Life," produced by ASCAP superstar writer/producer Pharrell WIlliams (N.E.R.D., the Neptunes).
