2011 Country Music Awards

ASCAP hosted its 49th annual Country Music Awards on November 6, 2011, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. The writers of country music's most performed songs of the past year were honored before an audience of many of Nashville's most distinguished songwriters, top country stars and music industry leaders.

2011 Concert Music Awards

The 12th annual ASCAP Concert Music Awards took place on May 24th at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center in New York City.

Composer James Matheson Wins Charles Ives Living Award

Esa-Pekka Salonen Wins 2012 Grawemeyer Award for His "Violin Concerto"

Finnish composer and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen (TEOSTO) won the 2012 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition for his piece "Violin Concerto." Salonen, conductor and artistic advisor for the Philharmonia Orchestra of London, was music director for the Los Angeles Philharmonic for 17 years.
